Excursion: Y6 Canberra Study Tour
Date: 19-23 October 2009

Year 6 - Canberra Study Tour

The coach will be departing the Senior School car park at 7 am on Monday 19 October and children should assemble by 6.45 am. It is important that we leave promptly.

The cost of the Study Tour will be $610, which covers the coach, four night's accommodation, all meals and activities, return flight and airport pick-up. This will be debited to your Uniform Shop account.

Mrs Macindoe and Mrs Jacobs will be medical officers and any special medical requirements or attention to medical conditions, including details of dosages and frequency, should be made known to them by Friday 10 October.

Staff attending this camp include Mrs Jacobs, Mr Ogle, Mrs North, Mr Prendergast,

Mr Howard-Jones, Mrs Macindoe, Mrs Lawson, Miss Jo Dowell, Mr Armstrong and Father Dan Octigan. We will also be visited overnight by Mr Pittard, and by Year 7 Co-ordinators, Mrs Bakker and Mr Wiltshire.

Children may bring spending money but it is not to exceed $30. Children will be responsible for their own money.

Please find attached a clothing list of those items we feel must be included. Because luggage space will be at a premium, it is extremely important that a soft sausage bag/sports bag be used - not a suitcase. A small day pack will also be needed for the carrying of lunch, clipboards, etc. All luggage must be clearly labelled on the outside.

Also attached is the medical/permission form which needs to be completed, signed and returned to school by Friday 9 October. Any allergies to food, drinks or any other special dietary requirements must be outlined on this form.

You must provide a cut lunch and drink on the first day, including snacks for morning and afternoon tea (this must be carried on the bus). A hat and refillable drink bottle must also be carried.

In the event that you need to contact us urgently, please telephone Mrs Shotton at School and the necessary arrangements can be made.

The children will be returning from Canberra by air. Buses will return students to school and parents are asked to collect students from School at approximately 1:30pm if possible. We look forward to seeing you then.

Yours sincerely
