The basketball problem
The famous basketball star, Nafu Frazer, was offered a 3-year
contract with the Bulleen Bullets that included a bonus for each
game in which she scored 20 points or more. Nafu was to receive
a bonus of $100 for the first 20-point game, $300 for the
second, $500 for the third, $700 for the fourth and so on
throughout the contracted period. Nafu played 50 games where she
received a bonus. What was the total of her bonuses?
